Essex Rivers Hub

Work with landowners to improve area on south bank. They already work extensively on improving the woodland for wildlife so the hope is to continue this good work to incorporate the river habitat to  increase the biodiversity of the area.

South bank area includes an area of scrub, a woodland and an amenity grassland area. Improvements could include reprofiling channel allowing better connection to surrounding area, allowing a wet woodland to establish, changes in mowing regimes or introducing "buffer strips". The woodland is owned/used by a scout group so there is scope for improving the wood for their benefit and public engagement opportunities.
