Essex Rivers Hub

There is a problems with litter in this area with debris in the channel, however there is also some natural debris in the channel in the form of small woody debris so this should be left in situ if it is not posing a flood risk.

There is also an area on the south banks which is an abandoned site with lots of rubble and other abandoned building material. There is potential for this to become an area for fly-tipping and potential for contaminants to leach into the channel. This area could be monitored to ensure there are no water quality issues.
